Nano Nagle Icon

March 6, 2020

By Will

Eddie and Mary Manley came to visit the school in February and showed us an icon of Nano Nagle. They also told the children about the life and history of Nano Nagle and explained the meaning of the different parts of the icon to us. Thanks to Mary and Eddie for taking the time to come and show us the icon and tell us all about this very special lady from Cork. The Icon is now in the Nano Nagle Visitor Centre in Cork City so we were very lucky that we saw it in our school.
