Green Schools Travel Walk Initiative

As we are working hard towards achieving our Green Schools Travel Flag, we participated in a Santa Walk on Monday 16th December. All the children, wearing Santa jumpers and Hi-vis vests embarked on a looped walk of our village. It was a beautiful sunny day and the children really enjoyed getting out and exercising.

Thanks to Julie Roche for coming to our classroom this morning to do some planting. We planted a tomato plant and some radish, lettuce and pumpkin seeds. Hopefully there will be big changes in our plants when we come back after our Easter holidays.

1st and 2nd class enjoyed a talk from North Cork dairy farmer James Bourke. He told us all about work on the dairy farm during spring time, we also got to see the cows being milked by a robot. James showed us all the baby calves. It was fantastic
