Active School Week

December 13, 2021

We held our Active School Week from the 7th to the 10th of June. We had a great mix of activities each day which finished with our sports day on Friday. Have a look at some of the things we got up to.

Rinka

Katie came back to do a Rinka session with every class. It was great to see Katie again and we had so much fun practicing our skills.

Walkway Challenge

Every class took part in a walkway challenge during the week. As each more group moved between the controls they had to do an exercise. The junior classes then had to mark down the colour or pattern that was shown on each control while the senior classes had to figure out what country each flag was from.

Badminton

We were delighted when Jo and Danielle, who are members of the local badminton club, came to school to give us a taster session. Everyone really enjoyed it and it was amazing to see how quickly our skills improved.

Whole School Obstacle Course

The members of our Active Flag Committee set up an obstacle course for the whole school to take part in. The school were divided into teams and each time took turns to compete against another to see who could complete it the fastest. Even the teachers got involved.

Teachers vs Pupils

One lucky team of pupils got to compete against the teachers in our school obstacle course. Things got very competitive!

Bouncy Castle Fun

We have to say a huge thanks to our Parents Association who organised a bouncy castle obstacle course and giant Jenga to be brought to the school on Thursday. Every class had so much fun!

Dodgeball

Some classes tried out dodgeball for the first time.

Tag Rugby

Some classes tried out tag rugby for the first time.

Teacher Challenge

During sports day the children organised a teachers race. Everyone had great fun cheering on the staff.

Sports Day

We took part in so many great activities during sports day. We played soccer, basketball and dodgeball. We played with the parachute and had some fun doing tug of war. We took part in all kinds of races. We even got a special visit from the ice cream van before we went home.
